Meet Nick

Nick Busse grew up in a small Northern California town, surrounded by five sisters and his mom.  His upbringing instilled a profound sense of responsibility and resilience from an early age.

While in high school, the tragic events of September 11th ignited a deep-seated desire to serve his country. Motivated by a commitment to protect others, Nick embarked on a 13-year journey in the U.S.  Army, completing two tours of duty in Iraq. His experiences revealed him as a courageous individual, driven by a strong sense of purpose and dedication to making a difference in his community and in the world.

His passion and compassion led him to establish and lead a nonprofit organization, the Changing Cadence Foundation, dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders.  Nick is also an advocate for mental health awareness within the veteran community.  As a founding member of the Victory Bridge Foundation and a key communicator for Roll Out PTSD, he works to ensure that veterans have access to the resources and support they deserve.

When Nick met his wife Maggie…

When Nick met his wife Maggie, he also welcomed into his life her two children, Isaac and Mia, both students at Chilton Middle School.  The Busse family soon grew to include Giovanni and Dominic.  Nick holds a degree in Business, and is employed as the Military Engagement Manager at Leaf Home, an innovative, multi-national, home solutions company. Together, Nick and Maggie have also started a small business.

For over 10 years, Nick has been committed to continuing Roseville’s tradition of civic engagement.  He is a member of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class and has immersed himself in the fabric of the community. With this knowledge and a steadfast commitment to service, Nick has prepared himself to step up as an advocate and ally for the hardworking citizens and small businesses that form the backbone of Roseville.

Nick's love for Roseville runs deep, rooted in a profound appreciation for its exceptional quality of life and the abundant opportunities our city offers. As District 5 experiences rapid growth and development, Nick envisions a bright future brimming with promise and potential. He doesn’t want Roseville to turn into another San Jose, with its high crime and heavy traffic.

“I’ve spent my entire life devoted to protecting families like yours, and promoting job creation for veterans when they return home to our neighborhoods.”

— Nick Busse for Roseville City Council

Nick, and the broad coalition of people who support him…

Nick, and the broad coalition of people who support him, knows the expertise he developed protecting our country and supporting veterans are the same unique skills and vision he’ll bring to the Roseville City Council.  Nick wants to connect Roseville, not divide it.  That’s why he is running as the most uniquely qualified candidate to serve and represent District 5, and all of Roseville.
